A protocol agreement was signed between the government of Cameroon  represented by Louis Paul Motaze and Societe General Cameroon (SGC) represented by it’s general manager Mareme Mbaye Ndiaye in December10,2020,to make available a financial grant of FCFA 25billion destined to Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SME) in Cameroon affected by COVID-19 pandemic ,in the presence of the Minister of Small and Medium Size Entreprises,Achille Bassilekin III.

According to the Minister of Finance Louis Paul Motaze, this iniatiative by SGC to assist SMES to bounce back from the negative effects from COVID-19, falls in line with the President’s instructions which the government through the Prime Minister and Head of government had taken some primary decisions since mid 2020.decision which include certain tax and subsidies adjustment to enterprises and guarantee their functionning.The decisions will continue in the projected budget of 2021.
