Press release relating to the inclusion of the file of active taxpayers in the public expenditure chain

PRESS RELEASE N° 00000167/MINFI/SG/DRCP OF 00000167/MINFI/SG/DRCP RELATING TO THE CONSIDERATION OF THE CARD INDEX OF ACTIVE TAXPAYERS IN PUBLIC EXPEDENTURE CHAIN

Within the framework of the implementation of new tax and budgetary reforms, in particular those relating to the consideration of the card index of active taxpayers in the public expenditure chain, the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, hereby calls the attention of the general public to the fact that, from the 2021 fiscal year, the status of “active taxpayer” will be essential ti initiate financial transactions with the Cameroonian administration.
This card index os assets produced and updated by the Division in charge of registration at the Directorate General of Taxation lists all the taxpayers known to the taxation services.
in this regard, a systematic control of their presence in this card index will henceforth be the condition for commitment and payment of public expenditure to their benefit.
This measure concerns legal persons (of public and private law) domiciled in Cameroon exercising an activity subject to tax, and registrered with the tax centres.
The Minister of Finance therefor invites all taxpayers to consult the list of active taxpayers available on th MINFI website at www.minfi.gov.cm
