Commemoration of 37th International Women’s Day

“You should be an example in quality of work execution, to other Ministerial departments”. The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, exhorts the women of his Ministry, during a reception offered by the female collaborators to mark this year’s commemoration of the International Women’s Day, under the theme “Equality between Women and Men today for a sustainable tomorrow”. According to the Minister, the women of the Ministry of Finance, occupy better and responsible positions in the Ministry and that, they are competent. In this light therefore, he cautioned them to guard against the vices inherent in the society such as corruption and delays, in the treatment of files. This not withstanding, the Minister declared that, he counts on the women for quality in service delivery. Speaking earlier, Madam Tabeyang, coordinator of the Women in the Ministry of Finance, on their behalf, thank the Minister for the special attention placed on them, as women occupy many posts of responsibility. To her, women and men where all born the same and, had undergone the same educational carrier. Therefore, there is the need for the women to occupy similar positions like their male counter part. The reception which took place at the National Museum, was equally attended by the Minister Delegate of the Ministry of Finance. The occasion was graced by traditional dances of the four zones of the country.
